I have always wanted to try visual novels, especially DDLC as it introduced me to the concept in the first place. I am currently at a low point in my life, and I needed to try something to make myself feel a different kind of emotion rather than the persistent exhaustion, dread and hatred that has plagued my life for the past few months. So I decided to finally download and play the thing. This game is exactly what I was looking for. In the two days it took for me to play this game I have been sent on an emotional journey I don't think a video game has truly made me experience. I felt love, joy, connection, fear, despair, friendship, terror and at the end a bittersweet kind of happiness that still I still feel deeply. This is a special game that sticks with you no matter what route you take or when in your life you play it. It's a timeless gem in every way.
