We made sure the game was playable if you beat it the normal way, but I'm not sure if we actually tested it to see if it was mathematically possible to do that. So congrats for proving it can be done!

Are you using an older computer? The game can be a little heavy on graphics during the actual fights.

We try to optimize it a little better with each update in order to (hopefully!) make it more playable on older hardware.

No problem! It's a relatively easy game to add updates for, so we plan to keep supporting it for a while!

the plan is now on boxing day!

yeah, it's now scheduled for Boxing Day

we're finishing up an update with a new challenger! Should be out within a week or two!

Probably! We've been prototyping some new RPG battle systems, but are still trying to figure out what our next big game will look like. In the meantime, there will be some other short games and updates to the existing ones

we'll add on optional invincibility mode for the next update

Yes and no. In the game, you can pick stories to play from a table of contents, and all those individual stories are finished, no cliffhangers or anything. But we plan to keep coming back to it and adding more stories. The next one will probably be a short holiday update in December.

there will definitely be at least one update! now that we have the main programming done, it's mostly just a matter of finishing new animations

glad you enjoyed it! Ep 4 is the only match you can't lose—we wanted to reduce the number of variables for the ending when it calculates how everyone placed in the tournament

yeah, it's called Boxing Day: Amateur Knockouts and it's currently in Early Access for Patreon supporters. But it will eventually be getting a free release, probably in late October/early November

This will probably get a sequel at some point! We just have a couple other projects to finish up first

Thanks for catching this! It was a simple issue, and I just uploaded a new version that should fix it. If you download the latest version, your old saves should transfer over.

which version are you using? For web, either try a different browser (Firefox should work, Chrome usually does) or try downloading it. For a download, try downloading a fresh copy

I think you'll enjoy something we have planned to release later this year...

oh hey, I think I might've already answered your question elsewhere, but for anyone else who sees this, it's possible to win every episode except 3

cool, thanks for the suggestion and for letting us know about the possible bug! we'll look into it.

not working as in not loading, or not working as in the controls don't work? are you playing in browser or on Windows/Mac/Linux?

we'd like to do a more fully customizable thing like grapple day at some point (including clothing/lack of clothing options), but that's a little more ambitious, so there will probably be some more small prototype games like this one before then.

thanks for the heads up, but pretty sure those are false positives. None of those 4 security vendors are big names, and it looks like reputable antivirus  vendors like BitDefender mark the file as clear.  In my experience, itch.io in general is not super dangerous for malware since games are uploaded by their creators, and if we put malware in them, it’s super easy to track us down, lol.

oh hey, thanks for the heads up. Yes, of course, we’ll do whatever we can to help this cause. Our game is submitted. Best of luck with the bundle!!

Thanks!! Yeah, we're definitely looking into doing something like the 4th episode again, possibly in a future episode or maybe as its own standalone thing.

yeah, unfortunately, it doesn't work right in some browsers, particularly mobile. No clue why you'd be getting an Apple error message—we used an open-source tool called renpy to make it. we've been looked into doing an actual Android port maybe eventually but still aren't sure how to make it happen yet.

lol, thanks! TBH, in 2005 my Flash game of choice probably would've been Lemonade Stand knock-offs

Thanks! Yeah, we were definitely trying to find a way to combine something more realistic with game-y elements

lol, this is gloriously specific. hooray for the public domain!!
