Spoiler alert for the game:
I hope it’s okay to say since I know people regularly struggle with the code but I got it to work on the dead screen (not the game over). It has to be typed really quickly. I don’t know if the final boss is beatable.
Tip: There’s also another secret you can do in the game over screen if you can figure it out.
If you still own it on steam, a fix for this is to right click on the game in your library then click on properties. That will open up a menu where you will see something titled Launch Options. Then you just need to paste this into launch options: cmd /c "set OPENSSL_ia32cap=:~0x20000000 && %command%"
Afterwards you should be able to close that window and then be able to run the game. I had a similar issue.
