[Normally, I put my reviews in the comments. Seeing as you have no comments, I'll do it here.] I LOVED THIS! I was hoping for something to get into something to stave off the Love the Guard thirst, but this felt different! In a good way! Like all of my favorite things about the Witcher series but queer and POC rep? Yes, please! The way your magic works? So cool! The way a Peregrine is like a magic sociologist? Loved that! I adore the world you created, and the word choice you use to describe it is chef kiss ("on point," as I said in my notes)! A note, though: sometimes the space bar would advance text, sometimes it would not, and I would switch to the enter key, which would work.

[Written after Ch 2 Release] My god, I knew this was going to be my fucking shit. World-building and sound design on point from the first lines? It's SO CULTURED?! I'm so happy to see an original, non-European-based fantasy The magic system was so interesting and well thought out - the reader was privy to the whole process. And seeing a hand that was brown like mine writing those letters and kissing on the back of my hand and grasping while dancing, I SWOONED!! I can't wait to see what else this creator does. They've totally earned my trust.

I know the creators aren't doing matinance on Mac and that's fine, but is anybody with a Mac who knows how to work it, stuck on loading screen only? Like it opens, but doesn't continue...

Okay, I had to come back and make a comment on this demo because while I played other games, I couldn't help but look back and sigh a little and long to be playing this one. How lovely, how comforting it was. It looks fantastic, of course, and the way the words glide onto the page was so smooth and felt so nice. (With the exception of Etza's introduction, where the text became less smooth before returning to smooth again at the end when the MC is leaving?) Anyway, the more I read, the more I was like, "shit, it's just a demo, and I can't see where this GOES."" While rare, I was genuinely interested in all of the MCs and heartbroken when I had to choose. (Actual note from playthrough: "I don't know I like them all :(")

Uh, where did you find that guiiiide? Please and thanks.

Hi! I played normally and then when I reached it, nothing showed up. So I tried to load. And then exit the whole game and tried to load again, but same problem.

Hi, is anybody else running into an issue where they can't question Oscar? Like the window with the evidence isn't popping up, nor the question selection. I really wanna finish this demo!

I probably don't have much to say that others haven't already. It's a beautiful game with an exciting setting, one that I was excited to see somebody else's take on. I loved the characters; they were very well developed for a short time. It could have gone differently. He could have been haughty, but I'm glad he wasn't, and we got a cute, quiet love story instead.

I normally avoid yandere games, but this premise was so interesting that I had to take a peek. Incompetent cops were such a good choice in a story full of them. Taking care of a parent? Relatable. In a jazz band? That's so interesting! I almost want to date "me"! "It's why we both have a power." GURL WAIT WHAT?! Anyway, I can't wait for the sequel.

(Just so y'all know, I had to open it from the terminal for Mac users.) It is as gorgeous as promised and assumed to be. Though the writing felt simple like fairy tales, the word choices really did it. I kept thinking how good the music was. I am sad that I'll never really know what happens to these two. I'll likely return to this game.

I'm not gonna lie; this is a biased ass 5 stars. As a face-blind ace person, this felt like a fantastic concept for me persoanlly. As somebody who witnessed front-seat the Iseaki boom, watching it get lovingly torn to shreds is also AMAZING for me. I know explaining this to someone who's never heard of Isekai wouldn't care, but I was having a great time! I loved the MC as soon as she made that pros and cons list to kick off the routes. The voice acting was terrific, expressive just as the other review said, and really brought the concept together. I slapped my forehead on how smart it was. I was cackling the entire time—even the other "mob" characters were hilarious. (Seeing the grins plastered on their silhouettes was TERRIFYING and HILARIOUS). Though it started with "just wanting a husband: the way each route built it out was good writing (tm). I have specific notes on how the MC and Jack kept making escalating steps for each other's "health" was so good. Also, later on, "regret" for pursuing a man for safety purposes? I could write a whole analysis about that baby! But I won't cause this comment is already too long. I need a sign-off after all of that.

(1 edit)

I was side-eying the 9.99 price for a while for a PRELUDE, but you gotta eat, so I can't blame you. The art is amazing, and there is a special shout-out for the coloring. Atmospheric as hell, just as advertised, and reinforced by the excellent sound design. Worldbuilding is just as interesting as advertised as well. Magic from the language of flowers didn't steer me wrong at all. I know the new chapter is coming out soon, so I'm excited about that.

Before I put on my strict critic cap, I'd like to say: POC MC POC MC  LIKE MEEEEE! Ahem. I loved how cute everything was! The pixel art, the character designs. I loved that the monster meant something symbolic in the end. I was really excited about the combat, but it took a second for me to figure out how the indicators worked - because things occasionally got lost in the sea of color. The writing's just ... okay, even though I really liked the character's personalities and dynamics. I'm excited to see where this goes.

Before I put on my strict critic cap, I'd like to say: POC MC POC MC DARSKINNED LIKE MEEEEE! Ahem. I loved the world-building/rules you had around the curse, how it came to be, and how it could be thwarted or made worse. I also laughed out loud multiple times. The characters were so lovable and wonderful. I had a great time! As someone who hates love triangles that are more angle than a triangle, this watered my crops. Keep it up!

Okay, already, what a killer premise! I kept thinking about it even as I stacked up other games and just had to come back and play! Trying to do the "right thing" and then immediately getting smacked down? Awful! But interesting! The exhausted, weariness of the Crossroad Keeper, this confusing yet charming alive (!) man, this terrifying devil on your scraping your shoulder? Loved it! I kind of wished there was a walkthrough, though, because I totally missed the clues and thought they were pointing out my spelling mistakes (I am, first and foremost, kind of an idiot).

All the Tumblr excitement about hot men couldn't have prepared me for such a fascinating plot. What do you mean, you get there, and everybody hates your one solution? What do you mean (almost) everybody might be in a situationship? It's all crazy, and I hope the full game can bring it home.

This writing is as bagnin' as they say, y'all. Even if the sex isn't your thing, you should at least play the starting bit for all of the intelligent barbs and jabs that had me giggling and throwing my hands up and gasping. I also really found the sort of metatext - characters commenting on books the same way the reader likely felt about them - just really fun and interesting. I love fandom depictions. Also? [Spoilers??] CONSET!! Not a mean dom!! LET'S GO!

Look, I've read a lot of romance books. A lot. But this one was actually ... fun? Like yeah, I rolled my eyes at the sibling relationship - and that mini-game was brutal as FUCK for me, but I also found myself unable to stop smiling? Even the guy "types" I wouldn't usually go for, in the end, had me wondering if I should take a peak. We watched the same anime, clearly, and being able to be a silly gurl in love with occasional depth was really fun. If this game has no fans, I'm dead.  (Even the text box was so lovingly crafted? Like props to y'all.)

WHOOOOO! I just had to come and share my thoughts. I only finished the Moon Routes that there were guides for because otherwise, I WOULD DIE (literally and repeatedly). Obviously, I had a great time! How the MC in Akechi's Moon Route couldn't help but want to be friends, and how Akira's Moon Route MC had a justifiable (by my POV) crash out. I, like others, seem to have read wrong and thought there was a poly route, but I don't think so - and that's fine! Seeing the reused images and crowds from the actual game was fun - though I wish the fanart were also sourced in the CGs (I wanted to know who did what)! Akechi's Bad Ending, where ... spoiler-y things more than death happened...was somewhat confusing, but I've read enough fanfic to know when to just roll with it. Overall, I had a great time and will likely revisit this game!

No, I don’t think so.

I might not be able to leave a comment on “Burned” because I’m on my phone but it was so fun! Short but great time! Give it a look!

There are so many things I enjoyed about this, things that had me yelling at the screen like I was at a football game. It had everything I wanted to read about a knight x king situation, including the inherent longing. I, personally, enjoyed making him kind(er) (something I don't often see with male protagonists) and my protagonist as burned as possible (for the DRAMA). They made choices I wouldn't have, like doing [redacted] but I still loved watching them face the consequences. I also loved the siblings. Both of them. So much.

Fair warning: even though this is literally my job, this will probably sound awful. I literally got an account to leave you a review. I just started grad school and had been stuck reading some  ... questionably written stories and wondering if I should be writing at all. But, then, I was blown away by this breathtaking piece. The concept, the softness, the work that clearly went into it. Even if it wasn't what you imagined, as it often never is in our line of work, I'm so grateful for what it did become. I'm still thinking about it like a week later. It's one of the best games I've played since I started PC gaming? I'm just so taken with it and can barely make the words run, but thank you.
