Story: by your smiles at customers, others would think you love your job as a barista... or they would know how much you hate it yet need the money. But you need to look at the bright side! You must routinely buy flowers from the cute florist next door and steal glances at the lips that form his sunny smile, discreetly! So, will you cross your fingers and hope to snatch yourself a date who definitely isn’t hiding something at the back of his shop?

We already stated we need a UI artist, but if you’re interested in another role not mentioned and you think you can work within the jam’s time frame you can DM @thesloth777 on Discord with examples of your work.

Premise

A young woman is abandoned by her family in the forest where they leave the unwanted or suicidal people go, the children nobody wants to take care of, elderly, sick, injured. She is sick and as she is dying in the forest she prays with hatred towards who used to be her folk. The patron of the forest hears her and after she dies it resurrects her. Green parts become part of her but she’s mostly human (for now) and healed from her illness. The being allows her to live under one condition: she will be faithful to it and will help it destroy humanity in the region. Having no love left for the people who betrayed her, she accepts the deal.

BGs for DEMO:

• Darker and denser forest, mostly for Aja scenes.
• Less dense forest as it’s further away from the core of it, where Kassja meets Soren.
• Field where Kassja sunbathes and there Aja’s special scene happens.
• BG showing from afar the dam Kassja must break.
• A plain green field with the town far away atop the horizon.

The first one is the most important one, while the others are less priority because they have the potential to be CGs.

Fun little game. Really enjoyed the art and how well it matches the story's vibes

I expected a good game and was certainly not disappointed. Added to collection. I'm not sure if it's a retelling, or if it was inspirated by IT, but I love that touch :)

About translations, I don't understand if they count or not against the word count.

First it says, "Counts against the 1.000 word limit: ... any additional parallel language / translation" and later on this:

"TRANSLATIONS/DIFFERENT LANGUAGES

In the case that you want to release a game in several languages: the restrictions on 1k words and the one VA would apply to each version.

It is within the rules to:

make a game with several languages, where the text of each version does not surpass 1000 words.

use a different VA for each language."

This is so atmospheric

This is soooooo interesting, and short, which I like because it often makes the story impactful. I really hope I get to read the rest soon
