Hey, I really enjoyed the game! Thank you for making it. Got to the boss once, but died. I think, the game feels very well balanced. All roguelike-y, but approachable and easy to get started. Definitely, thumbs up from me. The fact that the map itself is handcrafted is probably a plus, or at least makes it feel different than most roguelikes. I will read more about your map format to see if I can program a map generator for your game =D haha maybe
