Thanks! I really love making the dynamic music for the games we make, its one of my favorite parts of the jam, glad you enjoy it! I tried out a few different music box vsts for the music but the only one that stayed was "SPITFIRE LABS: hannah peel's music box"

Tartholomew has some dark trickery magic, so much so that he may prevent any progress from being made! ( Yea I found that bug earlier and am quite saddened by it :c ) If you do ever end up beating him please do tell, only a few have survived his wrath so far.

Unfortunately the images did not load for me when I played, but I watched the YouTube video by Gemini so I still was able to see them and they are all really really good. I loved the music as well (though the discord ping in there made me feel like I was going insane). And the story was really good, the idea of perfectionism is something I struggle with and think about a lot. I also enjoy the little detail of what words were the link to the next page. Although I honestly am not sure how this relates to the theme. Overall a very pleasant yet thought provoking experience!

The concept is really unique and makes for some interesting puzzles. I definitely liked the second world the best, being able to freely move the blocks made for much more player focused (not sure that's the right term I mean here?). In the sense that the player had more ability to control the puzzle/character.

But the final level, honestly made me more frustrated than satisfied.  The book cases seemed to sometimes have janky collisions leading to a gap appearing causing the little guy to fall instead of walking across, and the fact the movement is dependent on the mouse position relative to the player makes standing on the thing that your moving cause the player to move which accelerates it movement making the vertical slides feel kinda janky. These issues wouldn't be as bad if the player had full control of the player but the fact you have to wait for the little guy to walk all the way back every time got annoying cause I felt like I was just waiting to be able to play again.

Overall though this is really good, even though that last level did annoy me, I think this is a really unique concept, and again the second level was very fun.

I adore this concept and NEED to see it expanded. PLEASE. (it was way too short but the small amount there was PEAK) {also I don't really understand how it relates to the theme? still like it just confused about that.}

I cant believe capitalism survived the apocalypse :(  But the game is a nice little fun way to play blackjack.

I love the theme implementation on this! the idea of two separate game play styles linked to one story is super interesting and fun. Though I wish the 2nd style against the zombies had the controls listed somewhere, it took me a while to realize I could attack and I almost quit before realizing I could reload. But once I figured that out and got to see the rest of the game it was really cool.

I think I see the vision for what this will be, and I love it. The fact you made this engineless with just RayLib in 48 hours is incredible even if it is incomplete, still extremely cool to get even this done!

I like the subtle yet intriguing world building here. Not sure if its an issue with the engine used to make it but I don't love that you need to zoom out the page to see the whole text. Other than that though very fun story with a cool way of interpreting the theme.

The controls are really well made for this, the platforming felt very good to play. With some visuals and sounds this idea could really shine!

I don't see any prompt/theme on the main page and am just wondering if there is one or not

This is peak. Best game I've played since YIIK. Genuinely Though, combat mechanics are extremely cool, a little janky but 100% fun.

The theme implementation is pretty solid (I had presented the idea of some sort of gambling game to our team as an idea, love that someone else had a similar one!) Love the Sound design here(how did you make the character speak noises? I love them) The character design is awesome! Overall very polished and extremely cool. (I do wish there was some sort of menu at least to adjust audio, as it was a bit loud to start)

Unfortunately all the images(except the first two) and audio weren't loading when I played this, tried again 30 minutes later and they still aren't there :( . The story of the game is pretty neat regardless. Would love to see the game with the full images! (will rate it once I play it again with the images working! ). But overall aside from the visuals and audio not working for me it seems really cool (just looking at the screenshots I can tell the visuals are great!)

Really fun idea for theme implementation here. Working any sort 9-5 like this, specifically fast food, is a really repetitive job and the gameplay loop captures that quite well. I love the title screen, and name of the game, very fun.

Really ambitious and cool idea here. Unfortunately it felt impossible to beat, I was only ever able to make a fire and SOS sign. I could never get enough vines in time without clogging my inventory. I did survive to day 3 and by then all resources seemed to be gone :( . I really like the visuals, the monochrome aesthetic is amazing. Overall really fun idea that implements the theme well.

Very Interesting Idea! I like the visuals, definitely feels GameBoy. I think the gameplay may be a bit too difficult at time, specifically the third level. The jump feels a little unresponsive for some of the jumps. The music can also feel a little repetitive but I still like it. The concept for the story is definitely my favorite part, I like the idea of the town getting more and more corrupt and destroyed as you go through it.

Love the theme implementation here. Art is beautiful, music is great (a bit too loud in bass imo but love it none the less) Character designs are amazing, really love how the personality shine with the little dialogue given. Gameplay is a simple yet fun little puzzle. Overall really good job!

(1 edit)

Fantastic idea for the theme. The Tutorial icons at the start are a great touch! Love the beer pickups reversing direction. The end was a fun surprise, (truthfully thought there would be something if you made all the way to the bottom with it chasing you but I at least didn't see anything different) Overall Amazing game here!
