Thanks! And I will!

It’s intentional, but I see why you thought it was a bug. Your weapon is dealing damage when it’s cooldown number is a 6-7. Then, from 5-4, it recharges. You can strike anytime after. The other numbers are irrelevant, they’re a relic from an older combat system. I’ll fix this soon, thanks!

Thanks for the feedback! I planned to do music but ran out of time. I’m planning to update it soon.

Wait, do you mean what you are supposed to be doing, or what the character in the game is doing?

Running, although I understand why you don't understand it.

No, there´s no AI here! There was a bit more to training before I ran into the character limit though.

Thanks, I appreciate the feedback!

Thanks so much!

jumping between screens is annoying, really can't gauge where to land and sometimes it sets you back

Very true, we are going to make a post-jam version with better camera movement

i also ran off the right side of a screen and got stuck once

The collision and camera movement is all coded by me (Because we used a fantasy console and it doesn't have that stuff built-in) and they have some glitches.

Thanks! I'll change the camera movement in the post-jam version

It is possible to remap keys in the settings. We did a poor job letting people know that settings is available.

Awesome!!! I was sad when it was hard to play on laptop, because it was a really fun game.

We talked about a few different story lines, but that is a skill we are still developing.

I did exactly the same thing :D

Thanks for playing and the feedback.

You're welcome!

(P.S. one thing I for got to say in m review was that I really liked that all of the controls were explained in game, and in a way that makes sense. That's not very common in games, and you guys did a great job of it.

Really liked  the retro style. This game me some star wars vibes, so that's cool. I liked that the player could heal themselves. Many games just auto-heal, which can be annoying. There was almost no story here though (at least in what I saw) , which was kind of disappointing, because that could have been a really cool story. Also, the mapping of attack to click is almost impossible to use on a laptop.

Thanks! Your right about the window of safety, it kills me too. If I make a post-jam version, I'll have an infinite health mode so people can actually beat the game and be able to play the boss fight.

Ok, I'm going to add the option to free up some CPU by removing the stars in the background. (Also, this could be because all of the collisions/camera movement are made by me (TIC-80 doesn't have them built-in like other game engines) and they have some bugs.

EDIT: You can now press A to toggle stars. It doesn't seem to be reducing lag to much though, maybe I'll try something else in a while.

Alright, can you press escape and then choose "Gamepad config" from the menu, and then send me a screenshot of that? it should look like something like this:

Awww, thanks! That really means a lot.

Well that's not supposed to happen... Just to clarify, you're using the z key on your keyboard, right?

Great, thanks!

How do you feel about fantasy violence (i.e. a monster turning into purple dust or something)

Thank you!

I didn't see anything about game engines in the rules, just want to make sure I can use whatever engine I want. Thanks!

Thanks!

Is it okay if I just use the character and none of the other things?

(for a non-commercial game I'm making)
