My original intention was to let players pick their cards, but i decided that, at least for the gamejam, it would be beneficial to let them try out all of the different cards, since there wasn't a ton of cards to build a deck around.

If i ever expand on this, that would absolutely be something try to implement.

And regarding the enemy stats- i completely forgot about displaying them when originally designing the UI! So i just kinda slapped in an "on-hover" effect for them. Definitely something i'd try to rework in a full release.

Thanks for enjoying the game!

Yeahh i realized that the screenshake wasn't clamped after the submissions were already closed. Oops!

Though i never had issues with it in testing... what stage did you get to that so much damage was being dealt???

I'm not sure if i'll expand upon it anytime soon, but it's definitely not out of the question, this was a fun project to work on!

Thanks for enjoying the game!

Balancing was something i was concerned about.

Especially early game, it'd be difficult to give the players cards AND give them a proper challenge.

If i ever expand on this idea, i think the challenge of the game could be expanded upon by letting enemies activate their own sacrifice abilities, and just by adding new cards.

Glad you enjoyed it despite the low difficulty!

Thanks!

I appreciate it!

Most of the bugs i saw were more minor visual things, but i tried to iron them out in the last few hours, so i'm glad that they aren't affecting people much!

I'm glad you liked it!

Yeah the confusion is something i was worried about, i wish i had more time to make a proper tutorial.
Glad you figured things out and enjoyed it!

Honestly, i think making a deck builder was easier for me than a lot of other genres. I have a LOT of turn-based prototypes, this was just a different type of balancing.

Thanks!

i'm not quite sure what that was, but it was definitely well done

plays well, sounds good, and looks good, but it could definitely do with a small bit of polish

i can't place my finger on it exactly, but i really like something about this game

fun fact, in a lot of areas you can clip out of bounds with that slide thing.

It actually might work for mac. Don't have one myself, so i can't test it, but you could probably try.
