The game was enjoyable and the movement surprisingly smooth (both fighting and moving around). Gameplay is simple due to the combination of mouse and keyboard (mouse for movement and enemies; keyboard for inventory, map, objects). The music ties in well with the game and enriches it. I was taken pleasantly by surprise by the timed quest to find Dan, and unfortunately only found him after I failed the quest, but it did make running around town fun. The variety of weapons and appearance options made it very fun to pick and choose as well as to design my character while offering different boosts. I absolutely loved the dialogue choices as well.
I did run into a glitch: I was fighting an orc, and I was down to 0/280 health. I managed to kill the orc, and somehow avoided being killed while running around with 0/280 until I encountered another enemy. The gameplay was sometimes interrupted by dialogue if I walked too close to some NPC. Another problem was if the player walks too close to trees or if there are trees covering the player, it is hard to move as you get stuck and have to spend some time searching around the screen to find a spot to click on to get unstuck.
Overall, I give this game an 8/10 for the smoothness and simplicity of it. As well as the dialogue, but points taken off for the glitch and the interruption of the game by unprompted NPC dialogue and getting stuck easily.
