I saw this on my YT shorts feed, and as a certified sucker for anything character creator related, I had to check it out! I was able to make a character that looks pretty convincingly like myself (which is already more than most Picrews I've made can say, big props there!)
I adore the hex code customization - I think it's an amazing addition and allows for so much, well, customization! And I love the little star transition from the build screen to the complete screen.
Potential Content Additions:
- Moles (moveable, or various placement options)
- Piercings!
- Separate bangs selection (two hair categories, one for hair in front of face, and one for hair behind face)
- Adjustable placement for "extras" (wrinkles, glasses, beards, makeup) - I noticed depending on the placement of your facial features, the default placement of some of these can look very different
- Narrowing + Widening distance between eyes/eyebrows/eye extras
- Accessories - maybe a small selection of hair clips and necklaces?
- Visually stronger scrollbar - might've just been me, but I didn't notice it in a couple sections and nearly missed some options!
Bugs Encountered:
- When completing a character for the first time, the nose bridge (in the face lines subsection of the extras section, leftmost in the middle row) shows up automatically without being selected or showing up previously in the build screen
- When returning to build screen from completion screen, selected extras don't display their checkmarks
- Selecting the date 09 and then increasing the tens place to get 19 results in the ones place rolling back to 8 (tldr, trying to go from 09 to 19 results in 18) - I think this rollover is only supposed to happen when going from 19 to 29, to make the maximum date 28?
That's all I have to say! This is awesome for an early-on release and even if nothing else gets added, I think you've allowed for a very wide variety of characters to be created =)
