You’re not helping the case by emphasizing HP Lovecraft is behind the name, that dude was super racist. He literally named his cat the N word. It doesn’t matter that it’s from a book, or that the name wasn’t used as a slur in the book, it still sounds exactly like a slur and it was created by an actual racist.
