If you're at Command Rank 50, there's a known issue right now which is causing an eternal loop when you level up past that level (which is the cap).
I'll have a fix in for the next version, but right now you can work around it by editing your save:
If youre on PC you can go here: C:\Users\YOURUSERNAMEHERE\AppData\LocalLow\Halftilt\LightSpaceLove
Find the save slot, then change the "command_xp" value to 0.
