What was the last action you did with the desperate girl?
The abandoned daycare will be expanded in the post-game. For now, it's out of bound.

The fishing pole can be used in a certain place to retrieve the old man spyglass.

I'm up to the part where I met her at the Uni (& wet herself) - I cannot figure out how to progress beyond this point.

I also went to her apartment (she was standing in front of the door) and asked her to use protection (which did not progress the questline)

You must progress the story until the whole uni is open during the day, so after you break in at night. Then, she will be sitting in one of the corridors.

Alright, thanks (there was a bug preventing me from escorting her, which I cannot - for now - replicate).

That being said, I stumbled upon an apartment with a door w/ a sign warning "Restricted. Keep Out." Is this an accessible area? If so, how do I access it?

Glad to hear it. I tried to replicate it too but I wasn't successful.

The closed apartments doors are my "clever" way of managing random procedural generation with a still limited pool of rooms (more will be added later). Basically, the more you progress in the game, the less chance there's to have a closed room. It's a way to limit the number of available room at the start of the game so you don't immediately see all the rooms. You can see it as a representation of the rooms you've yet to see.

Thought I'd report a bug I've encountered: (I presume this is the cause, since I can consistently reproduce it, after finishing the Hospital/University - up to Brookside Glade) If you attempt to enter an apartment with this room unlocked (one of the ones that said "Restricted. Keep Out."), your game crashes.

That's a really interesting bug. If you have the logs from the crash, I'd like to be able to read theses because it could be invaluable to fix the bug.
