I wish but it does say in the radio story thingy"the cables have been cut don't worry there's no one on the elevator" so no cables it's kind of like when you get enough jet engines you're just flying using jet engines
"Why did we put the whole team on the elevator? Well anyways they're now all squished due to the rapid acceleration" and that's why you don't put people in an crazy fast elevator folks yeah I don't know
