I have the same thing happen to me, and I didn't have to do anything, I does played the main game and it just worked again.
Don't know what happen.
(To uninstall, you go to File Explorer (The download should only work on Windows), go to the zip files, and either right click and hit delete or left click on it and hit delete, go to the Recycle Bin and finally, right click anywhere and hit 'Empty Recycle Bin'.)
