Communicating within a team environment this term has been an enlightening experience for me. The tools we used, such as Slack and Zoom, have been instrumental in fostering collaboration and ensuring everyone feels included. These platforms facilitated seamless communication, file sharing, and scheduling, allowing me to actively engage with my team members despite physical distance.
I felt actively involved in the unit with both the tutors and my classmates through these communication channels. Regular virtual meetings, discussions, and group activities enabled me to stay connected, contribute ideas, and participate in unit-related tasks. Additionally, collaborative projects provided opportunities for teamwork, where I could collaborate with peers and tutors to achieve common goals.
While the virtual setting presented its challenges, the effective use of communication tools and the willingness of everyone to engage made me feel like an integral part of the team. Overall, the experience has not only enhanced my communication skills but also strengthened my sense of belonging within the unit.
