Do you get a sound like items clipping?
I was encountering a similar problem, and I think the back of the door was pressing on the wall next to it, and the game was forcing the object away from the wall to prevent clipping.
how I fixed mine was by holding the broom you have down stairs, crouch jumping on the counter, tucking yourself right next to the fridge and the back wall, and using RMB to sweep, forcing the fridge forward.
