Note: This is copied from my review I left for the demo lol

An absolute blast of a game this is, currently! Played all 4 episodes so far, as well as a few extra goodies that I've earned throughout my playthrough. Admittedly I'm not all that good at these kinds of games so I did end up playing it on Heaven difficulty so I wouldn't have too much of a rough time, but I still enjoyed it nonetheless!

What I liked about the demo so far:

  1. How the episodes are done: In the first demo, it was one long session that you had to complete in one sitting. I like it now that the Chapters are split into two episodes, shorter but better to play through all around, and it doesn't feel like a chore to get through them in one sitting unlike the original demo.
  2. The Characters (and their playstyles): Some of the designs for the characters are a joy to look at, and how they play as well! For the sake of this playthrough I went through the game as Gremile, and I enjoy how quick he is along with his means of taking down enemies and such (second best being Enfer cause he's just TOO PURE oh good lord!) It's a shame there aren't any unlockable trophies to view the character models of the main 4 playable characters, but it doesn't take away from the fact that they're great nonetheless!
  3. The unlockables: There's so many of them compared to the original demo, along with a few others that you can earn simply by completing their respective episode too! Can't really say much due to spoilers but just know that there are three unlockable characters you can earn, plus SO much more in store by playing through the game.
  4. The amount of talent work this has: So many recognizable VO/VAs and artists for the game! Current favorite is hands-down Michael Kovach, just love that voice he does for Gremile "Hot Shot" (a cute, albeit a bit raspy voice combined with a not-so cute personality and fowl mouth to boast with it!) A few other honorable mentions is Gianni for his voices of The Twins and Pursuer Agares, and Sean Chiplock for Lutin and Enfer!

Something I did notice is that, unlike the original demo where you did earn credits throughout each checkpoint, in this demo you don't earn any extra credits throughout the episodes. I'm guessing this is because of how shorter the episodes are in terms of length (Especially for Chapter 1 since that episode was split into two), but yeah. Also for multiplayer, hit registration is a bit "hit or miss" since when I playing through the first two episodes with my boyfriend, sometimes my melee attacks wouldn't exactly register with the enemy hitboxes (for the record, my boyfriend was hosting and my ping was around 90ms, although on rare occasion it would have a sudden spike of 2000ms when I first joined the session. Don't know what his ping was since he was hosting).

Overall, however, aside from a few things that I felt a bit iffy about, which are just a matter of opinion and minor, along with multiplayer needing a bit more tweaking in my honest thought, I really enjoyed this demo a lot, and so did my boyfriend too! I've also been recommending this game and spreading the word to other friends of mine to get them into playing this amazing game too! I wish you luck in future development for this game Octii!!
