You need to hold the right mouse button and build posts and stairs. every post allows floor expansion of 3x3. For the floors you hold right mouse button and use floors.

Ok, thanks a lot for the reply. But I have another question. How do you build a staircase as seen in the images in the homepage?

I'm not exactly sure which materials other than planks but when you try to build it, if you don't have the right materials, it'll tell you.

Lorenzo_253 to build staircase you need to hold the hammer then right click and keep holding until you reach the stair-case. And they should tell you the material when you select it
