Yeah, imgur is weird with gifs, I guess! I got around this by pasting the link they gave me into a new tab, then right clicking the image and copying the image url. For some reason this works?? But if it doesn't, I would look at how imgur formats its other urls and try to copy that (just with your gifs id instead).
I love your game idea, btw! Really excited to see how it turns out!
