i got a weird bug in which the animation of the curse hitting you in the intro stalled and came into affect when i talked to the guy who gives you the book making it look like it cursed me

Which exact animation are you refering to ?
The eye ? The screen getting glitchy ? Other ?

Of course it's not game breaking, but as you said, might alter the perception of the story, haha !

oh my god sorry I did not notice you replied. Oh my gosh sorry.

If I remember correctly the animation for the monster appearing in the intro, usually accompanied with the wind blowing and the eyes appearing from the dark. That one happened when I talked to the bat creature that hangs from the tree. I could be misremembering as it happened around a year ago. But I think the animation was delayed until I talked to the bat guy.

That doesn't sound like something I've seen before :o
Sounds like a bad timing or something but hard to tell after one year haha
