That sucks to hear you've had to deal with people being rude. Please tuck all of those messages away in a big box and light that sucker on fire! This story was great so far and I hope that crap doesn't demotivate anyone involved in working on this! The way you wrote about how hellish things got when our character is walking along the river made me feel anxious irl, and that's awesome! The fact you can invoke that with your writing is a testament to your skill. Thank you for sharing what you have so far, and I really hope you keep working on this as time allows. =)
