From your recent update I get that it's supposed to affect the character's relationship with the others but I personally feel like it would be understandable to hide something like that for personal safety so wouldn't the people who love you understand that as well?
Would a trust bar work better instead? So like the more your character trusts the other characters, the more you tell them and the more they can help you figure out what happened instead?
I'm not criticising at all I'm just unsure how it works in to the story?

When I first implemented this mechanic, my grasp of game mechanics was pretty basic, and as you and others have pointed out, self-preservation might not necessarily warrant guilt.
In designing this, I believe I was primarily focused on the implications of lying rather than the act of self-preservation itself. I hope this clarifies my initial intent.
Based on the feedback I've received, I'll probably leave the guilt system it as it is for now. However, your suggestion of a trust system is particularly intriguing — it has sparked a "Why didn't I think of that?" moment for me, and I'd love to explore it further.

It's so simple and short, but it's so careful to pull at your heartstrings in the rawest way. All to have a happy ending about living for eternity that doesn't even bring up the thought that immortality could become torture.
I think it's the most wholesome story I've ever heard that involves a wish-granting genie-type character. It definitely elicited the strongest reaction I've had to a fable. And again, all that in such a short little story!

I adore your story and hope you're doing well! I have a question I didn't see anywhere though: My MC slept with Lyth and Leese was jealous afterward and said he doesn't share. Why is he in a Poly Route then? With that statement I'd feel he would be jealous no matter what, but he's okay when it's Gabriel? This just left me puzzled but hey I understand I'm also a jealous person Leese, lol. Thanks again!

I aimed to explore a relationship that evolves from a sort of love triangle dynamic, growing into something deeper over time as they get to know each other better.
However, I acknowledge there's room for improvement to make this progression feel more natural and cohesive. I am currently redoing the poly routes and have already started on some scenes. I'm aiming to have these revisions included in the next update, or at the latest, the one following that. Thank you so much for your patience and understanding!
Nooo, you don't need to change it at all. I actually really liked the jealousy, it felt natural. I also love the idea of the love triangle! It feels like they both spend more time with the MC, so it makes sense that they are closer to them than to each other. Honestly, I was just curious, it might have sounded like I didn't like it, but I really do like it. It felt in character for Leese. He's my fave and while I adore Gabe (sorry babe), he'll always be my first choice. I loved everything about your writing, so I look forward to it but take all the time you need! :)

i've just finished playing through the available chapters, and i must say, i am invested. what resonates with me the most is mc's sh, as well as the relationship with sex if you choose it as your vice. it's... accurate, to say the least. and in a way, self indulgent to experience through the mc as someone who struggles with both. the representation is cathartic. i'm really looking forward to seeing how its handled further down the line; if we'll have the choice to either develop a healthier mindset, or to stick to what's familiar, even if it harms us and those around us. i definitely plan on having my mc get their shit together lol (possibly with the influence/assistance of certain ros...), but adding that nuance and the option to make that path of recovery a reluctant one is something id love to see. though, if that's too complicated to execute, i look forward to seeing how the mc evolves throughout the story regardless. love the game, love your writing, and most of all, love our emotional support raven (whom i have affectionately named poe <3)

I'm unsure, though it's something I've been contemplating. I'm open to the idea, and if it feels right for the story, I might explore adding more in future updates. However, I haven't made a final decision yet, so I'd say it's still up in the air.
Love this game, but there is one thing that can be improved in my opinion - background theme. Because I personally don't really like dark and light theme, because my eyes feeling bad when I reading with dark/light theme, so I think it would be better if there will be more themes, for example sometimes I read novels on ranobelib and there is a theme with #e5cf9d background color which is better for eyes. P.s. this game is so cool

No. I'm sorry if it wasn't clear: the MC is almost 27 and the possible relationship with Harus started 3 years ago. If you're concerned in the aspect of grooming, this was not the case. The dynamics between Harus and the MC will be explored, but it's important to note that nothing occurred until the MC was of age and was initiated under the MC's volition.
This is so good! I got hooked into it so bad that i kinda didn't sleep all night. I may have perhaps restarted to much... I can't wait for more chapters to come out! ;_; it's really one of the best text based ones I've played.

That being said, I have one question. The question itself isn't spoiler-y but any answer might involve spoilers. I don't mind spoilers myself but I just figured I'd mention it for anyone else reading my comment. It's related to the ROs though and IDK how else to ask. It's a bit important for my own reading experience.
QUESTION:
There are various supernatural races in this game, with different lifespans. Do I need to be concerned about any differences in longevity between the protagonist and their RO? I'd prefer to avoid a situation where my protagonist ends up inevitably dying of old age and the partner moves on to some other romance afterwards. Maybe the story doesn't even plan on addressing that - but thinking realistically, it seems like a pretty important thing to consider, between two people. And honestly, if I knew the RO was just going to move on like that, as they live for hundreds more years or whatever, it'd ruin the whole story for me. I'm still traumatized (okay, I'm being a little dramatic) from Spice and Wolf. Please give me the hard-hitting truth now before I go through hours and hours of wholesome romance only for it to end in (what I consider to be) tragedy.
I just greatly prefer romances where the characters stay together forever afterwards and there's no one else after that. So if lifespan considerations are relevant, it'll affect who I decide to romance.

While I cannot reveal specifics, I can assure you that I've taken into account the different lifespans and the implications they have for relationships in the story. I cannot say much else, but only please try not to worry about this element!

just finished the available content and this is bliss and torture at the same time. This game is just amazing and everything I was looking for, you did a dazzling work dang! the history is so well-built; the charachters are all very different and extremely well written + im drooling over that plot like WOW IT'S SO GOOD

That being said, I have one question. The question itself isn't spoiler-y but any answer might involve spoilers. I don't mind spoilers myself but I just figured I'd mention it for anyone else reading my comment. It's related to the ROs though and IDK how else to ask. It's a bit important for my own reading experience.
QUESTION:
There are various supernatural races in this game, with different lifespans. Do I need to be concerned about any differences in longevity between the protagonist and their RO? I'd prefer to avoid a situation where my protagonist ends up inevitably dying of old age and the partner moves on to some other romance afterwards. Maybe the story doesn't even plan on addressing that - but thinking realistically, it seems like a pretty important thing to consider, between two people. And honestly, if I knew the RO was just going to move on like that, as they live for hundreds more years or whatever, it'd ruin the whole story for me. I'm still traumatized (okay, I'm being a little dramatic) from Spice and Wolf. Please give me the hard-hitting truth now before I go through hours and hours of wholesome romance only for it to end in (what I consider to be) tragedy.
I just greatly prefer romances where the characters stay together forever afterwards and there's no one else after that. So if lifespan considerations are relevant, it'll affect who I decide to romance.

While I cannot reveal specifics, I can assure you that I've taken into account the different lifespans and the implications they have for relationships in the story. I cannot say much else, but only please try not to worry about this element!
