Well, when I click ice king in characters, nothing shows up; it's like I'm clicking nothing.
For clarification, are you talking about this menu? If so you might be on an older version, before 0.3 clicking him did nothing. (It still kinda does nothing, it just shows if you've seen all his events. future-proofing)
