Thank you for posting this. I was wondering if I should play through it now or wait until the nsfw patch dropped, so now I know. I assume they're doing it this way so that people can play through it now and not have to play through it again just to get the nsfw scenes later, that way they can take their time with the nsfw content instead of rushing it. I only wish that they had posted this info here, because I don't really use Discord, so I wouldn't have seen this.
If I understood, so instead of just making the patch to make the game nsfw, they will just release a fan mod that just add alternative scenes that are not needed just to have the adult stuff, if that's really what I'm getting, I'm not sure I want the game anymore, if the only way to get nsfw is on alternative story and not on main, so it's kinda just non-canon. Personally I will just ask for a refund and just buy the game if there's an actual patch, I only wanted the game when they said there would be nsfw stuff, and I really don't think I want it added like that.
