Help with using Proton-GE to run game on ubuntu

I know there are a few posts here about how to get the game running on linux however i've tried following them and i couldn't get it to work, so i tried with proton ge (and using the compressed exe version) and while it runs without an error popping up it seems like for some reason there's some kind of texture issue that makes the game unplayable, i am not an expert on using linux at all so if anyone knows what is going on here and how to fix it that would be very appreciated.

I know someone else made a thread about running the game on gnu/linux here, I'm not sure if it'll work in your case but I know they experienced and subsequently fixed that graphical glitch and got the game working. https://itch.io/t/3508853/how-to-run-on-gnulinux-probably-any-nix-system-works-s...

Thank you, using that and an extra guide to properly install DirectX End User Runtime like the install instructions say on the game's page (guide being https://www.dedoimedo.com/games/wine-directx.html for anyone else also having trouble with this, for the link in the guide with the ddl list use the wayback machine otherwise it's a blank page)  i finally got the game working on wine instead of having to use proton, i can now finally enjoy this game on linux!
