How did you choose to implement the Theme: State of Anarchy in your game?
There is no law, no rule, only mercenaries, freaks, abominations, and masked killers roaming the streets.

Did you implement any of the optional Bonus Challenges, and if so, which ones?
1. There are many homeless people that act erratically when you approach them. At one point 3 of them commit suicide.

2. The main antagonist is wearing a mask, with many other enemies wearing face covers.

3. The game is set in a city, where you explore an apartment, office and asylum using back roads and cracked sidewalks to avoid detection.

Enjoyed the play through definitely brought up nostalgic shooter vibes. Had an issue where I seemed to get stuck in a doorway but a reload fixed it. There was a good balance of enemies and well thought out level design. If there was one thing I would change it would of been a clear audio cue that being attacked was on its way especially with the dogs at the start. Other than that it was a solid entry.

Thanks for the idea! I will for sure look into adding an audio cue for the dogs.  Glad you enjoyed it!

  • I enjoyed the visual style and voice acting(it is not high quality and gave me goosebumps sometimes, but it is appropriate to the style of the game).
  • The gameplay is fun, although enemies are bullet sponges, the player never seems to run out of ammunition. Not sure if it is a good thing. But it makes main antagonist look feel like any other enemy, i didn't really notice him
  • I was stuck at one of the levels when I tried to climb under the tubes. I saw one of the cannibals go there, and I thought the key to the next room was there was supposed to be there. I solved this by loading save that teleported me to the door before the final level.
  • Enemies are tall, or the player is too small, maybe it's a thing from that era of games.
  • End credits do not have exit button
  • I like the atmosphere.

I hope i'm not too harsh, just trying to give feedback.

Hello! Thanks for your feed back! I'm going to reply to some of your points real fast.

  • What part did you get stuck on? If it's the part I'm thinking of in the third level, the cutscene shows what you need to do.
  • The game is heavily based off F.E.A.R., so the enemies being bullet spongy is intentional as with the high amount of ammo.
  • The main antagonist was originally a different character, but I decided not to use him because he didn't have a mask and his face model wasn't easy to retexture to have a mask, so I made the main guy look like the other cannibals.
  • Yeah scale is off. Mostly an engine issue.
  • Was not aware the end credits were bugged. I'll take a look at them!

Thank you for playing, I hope you enjoyed!

The level I was stuck on is the one where you find shotguns.

The black double door said that it required a key. So I decided to look for it. Before I checked the double door I saw with the corner of my eye that there was somebody at the end of the hallway and I thought "oh they probably want me to go there." I tried going after him but was unable to get under the pipes.
Developer

Yeah you're not supposed to go where that guy is. The key is in one of the rooms
