(SPOILER ALERT)
I did too! but the bad ending isnt too bad, it shows Auggie pushing Winnie off the stairs and smiling, then you see the ambulance scene again (when they wake up) and he only has minor injuries instead of a broken foot. he gets attention and is happy that Winnie is dead.
