I have used the C64 sprite collision hardware. So, the collision detection is perfect. The problem is not the collision detection but the relative few time to bypass some enemies or the exact timing required to avoid them. In fact, this version is much easier than the original ZX Spectrum version.
This is a remake of an old ZX Spectrum game. It tries to be as faithful to the original as possible. You can go back forty years and tell to Victor Ruiz to do so. Many people will thank you. But this work is what it is, and very good at that.
