I really like the look of it, Gameboy window and all.

My main issue is the audio and the respawning.  I get you're going for an aesthetic, but the music/sfx is so loud and shrill I had to mute it after about 30 seconds.

And there's this weird issue where you restart and a sword fish spawns in the first room so you're stuck in an infinite death loop.

After a few goes I managed to navigate the narrow passages and get the harpoon gun.  Having to pick it up after firing was an interesting choice.  As far as I can tell that's the end.  If so, it's good start.

EDIT:  This was recorded after my feedback.

Hahaha, good point. I figured people could control the volume using their keyboard keys but now that you mention it I believe it is playing sounds at max volume. I could lower to 50% or so. It is necessarily shrill - otherwise you can’t really hear them when playing on thumby hardware.

Yes that is a bug I have fixed in some changes that aren’t ready to be uploaded yet with the death loop. It’s also very possible picking back up the harpoons won’t make it into the Final cut, just experimenting with it.

I will give a hint (which maybe I need to redesign the tile to make it more obvious) but there is more progression after the point you got to, might have to explore / look around a little ;)

But after you find that new part, there’s just a few empty rooms right now.

Thanks so much for trying it out! :) that’s great feedback

Aw dang yeah.
For some reason I was drawn to the cube.  Maybe because it's big and bright.
Didn't consider the rocks on the left.

Haha yeah, I did have an idea for the big cubes for later on so I wanted them to stick out.The rocks are also meant to stick out but the screen resolution makes it pretty challenging to strike a balance :)
