Hey! I also had the same problem. The solution (for me) was to re-extract the game. Hopefully this works!
Sadly it did not i had already tried that as well as deleting and redownloading.
Before extracting the zip, try right clicking it, going to properties, check the box for "Unblock", then apply.
After that unzip it somewhere and see if it runsany better for you.
Another thought is try right clicking the exe and see if you can pick a different display/graphics provider.
