wrong place to discuss it but what you need to do is go to the lab and find the place where the oxygen is
My bad, so the second part is not in the lab? the only things to interact with that I see are the info panel, oxygen capsule, & the incubator.
you're just supposed to stuff the spores into the oxygen container to spread it around the ship
maybe it's a bug then, the only option it shows me with the oxygen container is to examine it even after the spores are extracted
