So there I sat on the cusp of my favorite ending of the visual novel. The scene grows quiet and the mood turns somber. My guard is down. I click my mouse. Suddenly the blare of the concertina reverberates through my headphones and before I knew what was happening it was already too late. I was cursed! Day in and day out whenever my thoughts begin to drift that 25-40 second loop appears full force and eats away at my sanity. ANYTHING related to the sea is a trigger and it doesn’t help having my friends call out my username when we’re playing games. That chanty tune has now lived rent free inside my head for weeks and even carved lyrics into my brain that I’m urged to share. So for all ye future fish lovers out there: BEWARE!!! Steel not your heart but your mind else be cursed with the same fate as I…

Joking aside I want to express my heartfelt appreciation for all the hard work put into making such a memorable and overall beautiful experience! Both writing and artwork paired perfectly as they uplifted one another while being further enhanced by the music and sound effects so much that I couldn’t help but be enthralled by it all. I’m greatly looking forward to what future content has in store for Malcolm but for now here are the lyrics I’ve come up with to that blasted tune!

Glacial waters ebb to yonder shores
Blessed tidings swell where north winds come blown
There’s a yearning deep within that stirs
To dive dwell depths of the great unknown

Crashing wave and scent of brine
A joy to behold Atlantic flow
Cast away, surge forth, leave land behind
Embrace fae gifts the fates bestow

Graceful current dance around the loch
Take heed her call, blue ocean beauty
Gentle whispers sound throughout the dock
To thee shall the sea and she sail free
