This reminds me of the game TABS where you deploy your chosen units then see if it can win on the enemy. A few suggestions that I would think of is to have something that would indicate that they are my own units like maybe a small blue arrow for every unit. It would also good to have a health bar for every unit. All in all, this is quite a unique game.
