A great little game with plenty of polish to make it feel like a complete adventure.

Here are just some random thoughts:

  • The little platforming sections were a nice way to break up the gameplay.
  • Great camera work in the cutscenes. Feels like you know your way around event scripting.
  • Gear was limited but options felt strategic.
  • Understanding the buff/debuff mechanic helped me learn the way to play and so I found myself having little to no trouble in fights.
  • Pacing of the game felt just right, I appreciate that there wasn't much need to grind.
  • Good job on sticking to the theme, I really felt cold as I played this haha
  • I wish that guy had just a couple more skills to play around with
  • Marsha's Burnout ability is busted as you can still cast with 0MP
  • The warmth mechanic is good but it also made me rush through and not explore too much
  • Great work!

Wild guess, not enough meaningful offensive skills for Fred?

Or even more support options, sometimes I didn't know what to do with his turn aside from assisting someone else. I did like the skills that he had though! I appreciate that you didn't want him to be just another offensive character.

I think it is very well made, lots of mechanics not normally seen in RPG games, and RPG Maker games even less. I like the platform bits, the character is quite responsive and they add variety. I suppose this is a plugin you made? Looking at the name of the file. Really nice.
Other positive points:
- I liked the camera work during the cut scenes.
- I appreciated that the game gives you the option to save before an important decision near the end.
- I also suppose that different decisions at this point will lead to multiple endings, which is impressive. I have not played all the way through though.
- The warmth mechanism is another original feature that adds some flavour to the gameplay, particularly during some platform stages, where it pushes the player to be fast.

On the other hand, it can be frustrating in some parts, especially the bosses. They take some time to defeat. I faced the second form of the Ice Queen and man she keeps healing and healing and healing. I haven't finished her yet because the fight was really dragging on, after the previous one which is also kind of long.
Maybe it would also be better to explicitly tell the player when they should save, or to remind them in some way, because forgetting can really lead to some upsetting results. E.g.: I defeated the first form of the queen, I thought the game was finished so I approached her and BAM another boss fight - and I had not saved. I understand that saving is also responsibility of the player, but it is better to help them or they may just give up.

You are the playtester I needed but didn't get. I've rebalanced the game with an updated version but I can't tell if it will be a more suitable difficulty for you

Is that big monster in the throne room supposed to be so strong? No matter the attack he only takes 1 point damage.

Nevermind, I found a way. The following bit with the gargoyles is a bit unforgiving though.

Yes, it's intentional
