– When I click the Story Branches menu, I crash. Solution: The only solution we have been able to find for this issue is to update your graphics drivers. This issue only appears to happen on AMD Integrated GPU’s and we are not sure why, we’ve only managed to narrow it down. If you encounter this issue, your best bet is to upgrade drivers and try again. I don’t know if it will work for everyone but we are still looking into it.

– You started with unlocked data that you shouldn’t have:

To clear all of your data in Changeling Tale, click the button in the top left of the Story Branches menu and type “forget” - this will nuke all existing persistent data in the game, or should.

– Mobile/Steamdeck minor text overlapping issues. We’ll be doing a mobile pass to fix text issues during our next major patch. Feel free to report these though, we may check them in our tests.

– Typos - please post any you find, we’re always looking to fix them!

–The ‘forget’ feature doesn’t properly reset the individual art gallery entries.

–The “Slurp!” achievement is no longer firing off.

–The Flowers for Marion’s endings all show the same end card and identical endings instead of the other variations.

–Typo in Marion’s route, Chapter 3, A New Look, Graced says “I’m not!” and Malcolm replies “Art to[o]!”

–Form 1 style 11 - every expression is missing eyes. Very creepy, new horror game inspiration.

–Secret after playing the game 3 times in the nightmare appears to be broken

–In the sprite viewer: Grace form 4, Style 2 has an ‘image not found’ error behind Grace

–Cast profile, sprite viewer, the line that goes through each of the buttons sometimes extends beyond the boundary of the button

–Under certain conditions you cannot complete 100% because Marion ch4 exile isn’t being flagged as completed. To fix this, you can start from ch2 and discourage Marion from leaving the house at every possible point and I think you can still get it. If you start from the story branch point it doesn’t give you enough “points” to get it currently. You can’t use any storybranch shortcuts before this.

–Marion form 3 is unlocked in the sprite viewer before you see it instead of after

Don't know where else to post - I get an error "Image 'g 1lwsurprise' not found." - Don't know if the space in the error message is what's causing it, or the fact that the image is called "g1lwsurprisednsfw" (the other image is called "g1ldsurprised"). It's right after Grace antagonizes the fishmonger and drags you to the cove.

Windows ed. , bought from itch.

Thanks for the report! We have a bug fix coming and this is one of the fixes in it. Just a typo in the code thankfully, easy fix. Thanks for reporting it!

Can you give any estimation as to when the next build will be available and will it require to clear the save files data to make it apply properly? Because if so, I don't know if it's better to wait for the next build before continuing playing, especially if it's not possible to 100% the game right now...

I would say a day or two until the patch at worst, if nothing goes wrong.

I don’t believe any saves will be broken with the next build.

I think I have some issues happening with the game, I just completed the game (got every branch) yet i'm still missing some stuff in the almanac, I'm missing 1 from the outside of ach-na-creige (I already have the stag and nanny sign, the cart, the boat, one of the houses, merchant cross, and the window) 1 from the church (I have the stain glass window and the holy water stand) 1 in marions room (I have the framed hand crafted sampler) all 2 from the 4rth image in the beyond the glen section and the 2 from the beach. I don't know if this is a glitch or something, also in baird's book is says im 99% of the story done, for some reason, (side note I want to thank you and everyone else who worked on this game, can't wait to see what the future holds and I'm happy more people can experience this game.

Heya, thanks for the kind words, we really hope more people try and love it like you did.

I’ve gone ahead and checked, the 1 from Ach-Na-Creige is obtainable, it’s just difficult, I will be adding it to the walkthrough sticky in a bit.

The missing church one, the marion bedroom one, the paris ones, and the beach ones are bugged and should be fixed in the next patch. They may have been unlocked during normal play for the most part, but if you’re still having issues let me know and I’ll throw solutions up in the walkthrough post when I get a chance.

Baird’s is stuck at 99% due to a bug and you should be able to complete it next patch (I don’t think it will be retroactive, but if you get stuck I post which scenes you might need to visit to fix the issue.)

okay, so which scenes will i need to revisit for those almanace parts, and also to get bairds book to 100%, just to make it a bit easier

Having bought the game from Steam, for my Windows PC, I am not sure what are the exact step by step procedure I have to take to keep my progression so far. What is it?

I’ll need to know more about your setup to answer that - what os are you currently playing?

Generally the save files located in the game directory can be copied over to a new version and you can continue to play from that point.

If you’re coming from a phone version, I actually don’t know if there’s a way to pull the data off without delving into system files. They are apparently stored at: Android/Data/com.devname.gamename/files - but without a file system viewer you can’t access them, then you have to connect your phone to your pc and transfer the files over using a usb cable.

If you are just switching from the itch version to the steam version on the same system, you have to do nothing - Renpy backs up all game data into a system folder that both the itch and steam version read from. It will find your itch data and pull it into its save folder on steam if it’s the same machine.

I don't use a smartphone, but a Personal Computer with Windows 10 Family, 64 bit. I only ever used Steam to buy and install the game. and didn't use itch at all.

Oh, weird you’re on itch then for support, the steam page has a discussion page with support there!

On steam you can just let the game update automatically, it will remember everything, no intervention needed. Just play the game!

I tried what you said about redoing marion's exile ending but it still says i only have 98% of the story completed, and I checked and I have all endings, so I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, side note I'm only missing one more almanac part and it's the second one in marions room(p.s. what the heck does "find the 8" mean, I'm very confused

There are actually two endings that go down the same exile path, though if you did those before the patch you may be missing something else. Most commonly if you are stuck at 98% since before the update we did, you need to replay all 3 of Jessie’s endings. Her endings were broken before the patch and you just need to run all 3 of them again.

However, I’ll paste my advice for all of the patched locations here just in case you’re missing a different one:

“Also for anyone that was missing completion percentage, there were certain chapters that weren’t being counted that you may have to revisit now if you do want completion:

Grace’s three Chapter 3 date variants, Marion’s three Chapter 3 lie variants, Bachelor Home ending, Marion chapter 4 scenes 9 and 11, Jessie ch4, 8, 9 and 10.”

As for the almanac entry you’re missing, that would be located in the second date choice with Grace in chapter 3.

And for the 8, if you’ve started the story you’ve gone too far, you’re looking for an 8 on a screen where one is missing :B

-I am still receiving the "Image 'scenes/Scene5G_FinalEmbrace_3b' not found." error message on my Steam version of the game for the large breast version of the breast adventures mode of the Paris route for Grace.

-I also think the game doesn't even try to to call the large breast version of the image of Grace's Departure in the scene soon after where she swim alongside Malcolm, but it might be intentional that there is no alternate pic to begin with. Not sure.

(Still using the steam version of the game since the beginning, but on steam, I have a SFW handle, while on itch.io, I use my NSFW one, so I am communicating about the game here, I hope this isn't a problem)

(also, for some reasons, the discord link you give in the OP lead to nothing).

Yeah, the final embrace is broken because we fixed the issue it had, but then typo’d again and forgot the .png at the end in the code.

She doesn’t have large breasts in that alt, it’s purposefully framed so we wouldn’t have to show them.

The discord link doesn’t work for you because you are using an iphone to try an access it I’m guessing, if you try and access an adult server with an iphone it will error like the link is bad. What you have to do is open your discord account on a desktop web browser, and go into the options - under privacy and safety - there is an option called “Allow access to age-restricted servers on iOS”. This option will not show up on ios devices, it only shows up on non-ios devices, and if you check it you can join them on your iphone after that.

I have looked and have allowed adult content on my Discord account, butt's telling there currently exist no chatroom with that name when I click on the link provided in your post.

Well, when I click it works for me, so I’m not sure - usually if that happens it’s because your discord is protecting you from an adult server somehow.

https://discord.gg/helmetfox is our servers custom invite link, if that doesn’t work it’s almost certainly on your end.

You must have an email attached to your account to join the server too, if you’re just set to be completely anonymous with no email it won’t let you join.

Well, apparently, accepting the invite to your server and waiting a little is what allowed the link to actually works. Thanks. I'll wait til the game get updated to actually see it as intended, though.
