This is the official thread for reporting any bugs, sharing any feedback on the game or shooting us across your suggestions on how to make the game better.

Happy abducting!

Hello,

I am reviewing this game.  However, I have had some difficulties on the Boss level.  Mainly, that it doesn't appear to be progressing.  On one occasion the Bosses spaceship did appear despite flying around the planet for and destroying the enemies for quite some time, on the other, his ship did appear but was not able to be destroyed.  As far as I can see, it appears to be related to a bug where the UFO flies off the screen.  Is this known to break the boss fight?  Or am I just doing something wrong?

Aside from this problem, I have been thoroughly enjoying the game.

Many thanks.

Hi EvolvedPie,

I've just sent you an email reply. :)

Hi,

All sorted now.  Thanks for your time. :-)

Many thanks.

I'm running the Linux build on Ubuntu, but the opening menu seems entirely unresponsive.  The little claw shaped cursor moves around, but clicking does nothing.  No intuitive keys do anything for me.  Should clicking on the presented options do something?

There were no error messages presented, the console gave this:

Set current directory to /home/jacob/Downloads/itch.io/temp/U.F.O - Unfortunately Fortunate Organisms Linux
Found path: /home/jacob/Downloads/itch.io/temp/U.F.O - Unfortunately Fortunate Organisms Linux/UnfortunatelyFortunateOrganisms.x86
Mono path[0] = '/home/jacob/Downloads/itch.io/temp/U.F.O - Unfortunately Fortunate Organisms Linux/UnfortunatelyFortunateOrganisms_Data/Managed'
Mono path[1] = '/home/jacob/Downloads/itch.io/temp/U.F.O - Unfortunately Fortunate Organisms Linux/UnfortunatelyFortunateOrganisms_Data/Mono'
Mono config path = '/home/jacob/Downloads/itch.io/temp/U.F.O - Unfortunately Fortunate Organisms Linux/UnfortunatelyFortunateOrganisms_Data/Mono/etc'
Preloaded 'ScreenSelector.so'
Preloaded 'libCSteamworks.so'
Preloaded 'libsteam_api.so'
Player data archive not found at `/home/jacob/Downloads/itch.io/temp/U.F.O - Unfortunately Fortunate Organisms Linux/UnfortunatelyFortunateOrganisms_Data/data.unity3d`, using local filesystem

All of which looks perfectly normal to me.  Any idea?

I have the same problem, and a pretty similar console report (different paths for my own filesystem, no preload of "ScreenSelector.so"). I'm running Debian 12.

Clicking does something at least for me --- it animates the claw closing. But it doesn't have any apparent effect when clicking on the menu items.

Hey! It seems that U.F.O. is incompatible with the Big Sur OS. Are there any plans for a compatibility update?

The camera isn’t always able to keep up with your ship, especially if you fly closer to the ground. If you fly offscreen, the view just freezes until and unless you blindly get yourself back in frame.

Can you make the camera more aggressively follow the player?
