Never comment on these sorts of things, much less anything at all, but I felt you could use the feedback on this one!

I think it's important to note only you know the sacrifices you've made and the dedication you've invested into your projects. Developing is a lot of behind-the-scenes stuff and only the tip of the iceberg gets shared in each patch note reveal. I think a noteworthy reason why so many comments and remarks may hit home is because of all that work you've put in. It's just like any good relationship - why the hurt hurts and the good allows you to reach for the stars.

Ultimately, I'd like to think a lot of us have followed you over for you - the developer (between games). The work you do is your own and it's up to us to form our own opinions. I think in this line of work, it's such a fine line between igniting your own passion and keeping that flame alive while meeting the expectations and desires of your audience. It's so important to remember that that's always a two-way street.

Regardless what direction the game takes, I just wanted to let you know on a personal note that I think you're doing a great job. As someone who's played both games, I can see an improvement on elements such as the story, modeling and animation, but it's also very early to draw any conclusions or make any firm remarks. Remember to have fun making your game - and remember it's just that: Your game.
