You might have to be a bit more specific, here.
Day 2 is usually fly to some debris, mine it, sell what you get, maybe upgrade the engine or not, and always check the quest status. There are several of them, and it may take a while to get to a point where you are ready to do them.
Remember, take your time, and be nice to T'Ris. It all pays off.
