Question about controls

Thanks for your efforts on this wonderful project. I was actually just checking out whether to buy the Links awakening remake and saw this from Good Vibes Gaming. My question though is - how do I figure out the controls? I am looking through the download files and can't find any readme file or instructions anywhere in the files or on your website here on itch. I can get arrows but can't figure out which key is enter or affirm/cancel. Is there any means of editing input for controller support? What are the controls?

Personally I got my 8bitdo Ultimate controller to work by just plugging it in and then starting the game. The layout is the regular Xbox diamond with A at the bottom and B on the right.

Agree about the controls working. the game recognize the steam deck controls right off the bat. So controller support is there

...unless you have a Playstation controller

For those trying to get a PS controller to work who may find these posts later for later versions of the game.

For PlayStation controllers, you need to have this knowledge for many games in general. For PS4, PS5, to enable XInput and make it work on most games including this one.

Open DS4Windows > Duplicate or Create a new profile for Xinput or Xbox mode >  Go to the "Other" Tab> Uncheck "Disable Virtual Controller", select "Emulated Controller": Xbox 360" from Drop-down > Apply > Save Profile

To verify it is working:
Go to "Settings" tab> Under "Utils", click "XInputChecker", it should now say "Status Connected" in green. Before, it would have said "Status Not Connected" in red.

Now you can use your PS4/PS5 controller with more games and cry less in comment sections.

I just connected my XBox pad and it worked straight away

So I've been tinkering around since I saw this about an hour ago... I have a 8bitdo Zero 2 controller I carry around with me and since I'm at the office it's all I got atm. I've discovered that you can indeed use a controller with this, but you'll need to manually set it up in Steam. Add the exe to Steam as a non Steam app, and then edit your controls so that (if using the Nintendo layout, as most 8bitdo controllers do) set it so that A = D and B = S as keyboard commands. W and A can be set to X or Y, and make sure you manually set the D Pad correctly. I think I've got it working now.

The game doesn't work with my PS4 controller and I do not think there is a way to enable it since DS4 Windows is gone now
