Same thing happened to me. I alt+f4'd and restarted it and it seemed to start working properly. First launch just bugs out for some reason apparently?
That is very weird and unfortunately I don't have an answer, it didn't crash on my side. I have just released an update however, maybe the build will be a bit more stable. Sorry for the trouble.
Thank you! I restarted the game after I made this comment and it worked as normal. So just a glitch I guess.
