I'd like to point out her friends did try to convince her to let them go with her several times, she just turned them down. They were very worried about her, and in the good ending they take care of her and she's very comfortable with them. They're not toxic, just college kids.
Even if June refused, I would definitely go with her or send someone to guard her. It was very stupid decision to let their friend (who is a young, physically weak, vulnerable girl) go alone to a house of a suspicious classmate with bad reputation (who is much taller and physically stronger), during late evening. Especially when there are recent reports of missing people.
