I noticed, after doing a play-through in the browser where I chose to read the first newspaper clipping, when I picked the second clipping on the next play-through, I got the same ending that was tied to the first clipping, though the clipping itself was different.
Then, partway through another play-through, after having downloaded the game, I saved before making the choice, and got the first ending, and when I went back to the same point with the save, I got the other ending as expected, when picking the other option.
Then, trying to do it the same way as before, thinking it was just the browser version, I got the same result as in the browser.
It seems like unless you load a save, it'll end up taking the same route as last play-through with that character, regardless of what you choose, even though you do read another clipping?
