Yeah, it's definitely one good reason why I should switch game engines. Best I can do is give suggestions on how to fix the problem. Definitely going to remember that the itch.io app doesn't have any issues with it.
I've been using Godot for my last few games and can recommend it.
Although it appears to have performance issues with chrome (just this game, not my others)
