Yes, it definitely is. Unfortunately, bringing the game up to standard has been harder than making the prototype in the first place.
You'll notice that the demo doesn't have alternative expressions for each character. There are very few characters. There are no gameplay mechanics to speak of. It's just a VN with some point and click elements.
