Sorry if this sounds complicated, it's a fix suggested by one of our community members:

Open terminal and type in "sudo chmod -R 755 " include the space at the end and then drag and drop the application at the end of the command. it should then ask for you password, put that in. Then when you go to open the game it will still tell you that you cant open it. Go to system preferences and open "security and privacy" it should show a button that says "open application anyway" press that and you should be all good. I can send you a video on how to do it if thats easier.

I followed the instructions, the game is still crashing.
