This is honestly so gorgeously written. The switches in perspective every time the MC goes to sleep are jarring and uncomfortable, and I mean that in the best possible way. And the whole prologue, when shit goes down? Harrowing and visceral. The way that you are fearless with uncomfortable detail really makes this the sort of ugly, raw story telling that sinks into your bones. I swear that this is all praise, despite the wording, because when I say ugly I mean that I can FEEL every moment of pain, of desperation, of wild helplessness and borderline madness.
