It doesn't have controller support and I don't think I'll be able to add it unfortunately. You can't rebattle normal trainers but if you go to the top of the pokemon center there are EXP trainers up there.
I have been playing with a controller the whole time. I believe since this is through rpg maker it natively has controller support.
