As far as I know, the usage rate of Simplified Chinese is higher than that of Traditional Chinese. However, generally speaking, we can understand both Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. (From my own perspective, I have never systematically learned traditional Chinese, but I can also read the story fluently based on the scene)
